Absolut is made in and around the small community of Åhus, Skåne County, Sweden.

All the water and wheat used to make Absolut comes from Southern Sweden. We call this production philosophy One Source, and it’s the reason why no matter where you are in the world, Absolut will always have the same flavor and impeccable quality.

In 1879, Lars Olsson Smith introduced continuous distillation to Sweden. Instead of three or four times, he distilled vodka to perfection. Absolut is still produced in Åhus, L.O. Smith’s birthplace.

Absolut is an exceptionally silky, smooth vodka. The flavor includes hints of caramel and vanilla with a fresh, fruity finish.

Absolut and Absolut Flavors are designed to lend themselves to exceptional-tasting cocktails, including popular mixers like soda water that demand more from a flavored vodka.

Absolut should be stored upright, away from direct sources of heat or sunlight, at room temperature.

If stored correctly, a bottle of Absolut can last indefinitely.

Absolut Flavors are best consumed within two years of purchase.

For starters, we recommend only making purchases at reputable retailers. To verify authenticity, check for signs of clear, high-quality printing on the labels. If the label is askew or has errors, you may not have an authentic product. In addition, our bottles are always filled equally and sealed, with no debris in the liquid.

Absolut Vodka is laser-marked, with a LOT-code (light grey marking), placed horizontally, approximately 1 cm from the bottom of the bottle. You can also find a black inkjet 5-digit code printed onto the plastic shrink-wrap (over the cap and neck of the bottle).
