In the latest episode of Absolut Drinks with Rico, you’ll learn how to make drinks in advance so you’re always ready to pour at a moment’s notice.

Rico demonstrates how to make a batched Mojito served in a pitcher, a batched Vodka Martini mixed inside the bottle, a batched Absolut Gangster, a batched Manhattan prepared inside the bottle, and a batched Negroni.

Below, we’ll take a closer look at the two vodka batched cocktails featured in the video!

Batched Vodka Martini

A batched Vodka Martini follows the same recipe for a classic Vodka Martini but on a larger scale. The best part? This batched vodka cocktail can be made directly in the bottle.

Make it the night before, pop the bottle in the fridge, then wait for your guests to arrive!

Ingredients for a Batched Vodka Martini:

• 800 ml Absolut Vodka
• 200 ml Dry Vermouth
• Green Olives
• Lemon Zest
• Ice Cubes

Bartending tools you’ll need:

• Jigger (or measuring instrument)
• Peeler
• Mixing Glass
• Bar Spoon
• Julep Strainer
• Cocktail Glass

How to make and serve a batched Vodka Martini:

1. Grab a 1-liter bottle of Absolut Vodka, pour 200 ml out and set it aside to make some other cocktails another time.
2. Measure 200 ml of dry vermouth and pour it into the bottle of Absolut Vodka.
3. Put the bottle in the refrigerator overnight.
4. When your guests arrive, take the bottle out of the refrigerator, then use a jigger to measure and pour 50 ml into a mixing glass to make an individual serve.
5. Add ice cubes to the mixing glass.
6. Stir the mixture with a bar spoon until perfectly cold and diluted to your liking.
7. Place a julep strainer over the mixing glass then pour the cocktail into a cocktail glass.
8. Garnish with a strip of lemon zest and a single green olive.

Absolut Gangster Batched

The Absolut Gangster is an original creation by Absolut Global Brand Ambassador, Ricardo ‘Rico’ Dynan.

Stiff, sophisticated and delicious, it mixes Absolut Vodka, Lillet Blanc (aromatized wine), rich syrup, and clove bitters.

Like the batched Vodka Martini above, you can make a batch of Absolut Gangster cocktails directly in the bottle.

Ingredients for a Batched Absolut Gangster:

• 775 ml Absolut Vodka
• 160 ml Lillet Blanc
• 50 ml Rich Syrup
• 20 Dashes of Clove Bitters
• Orange Zest
• Ice Cubes (for mixing)
• Large Ice Cube (for serving)

Bartending tools you’ll need:

• Measuring Jug
• Jigger
• Bar Spoon
• Mixing Glass
• Julep Strainer
• Rocks Glass

How to make and serve a Batched Absolut Gangster:

1. Grab a 1-liter bottle of Absolut Vodka, pour 225 ml into a measuring jug. Set the jug aside to make some other vodka cocktails another time.
2. Measure 160 ml of Lillet Blanc then pour it directly into the bottle of Absolut Vodka.
3. Measure and pour 65 ml of rich syrup into the bottle. To make rich syrup, follow the instructions on how to make simple syrup but change the ratio to 2 parts sugar to 1 part water.
4. Add 20 dashes of clove bitters.
5. Give the bottle a shake and then put it in the fridge overnight.
6. When ready to serve, take the bottle out of the fridge and use a jigger to measure and pour 50 ml into a mixing glass.
7. Garnish with a strip of orange zest, squeeze it over the glass to release the oils, then drop the zest directly into your glass.
