We start our journey in Stockholm, Sweden where we visit the buzzing bar and restaurant, Tjoget. Nestled in the vibrant Hornstull neighborhood on the inner-city island of Södermalm, Tjoget has firmly established itself as a beloved Stockholm institution.

Since its opening in 2012, it has captured the hearts of both locals and travelers from afar. “The ambition was to open the best bar,” shares Andreas Bergman, Founder Partner, Tjoget. Despite remaining very much a neighborhood bar at heart, Tjoget has achieved the remarkable distinction of being named one of the Top 50 bars in the world, not once, but twice. 

Introducing the Crew at Tjoget and the Polo Lounge Martini

“Tjoget is like a family,” says Pepe, Head Waiter at Tjoget. In this video, we meet the founder and crew at Tjoget, learn about the bar’s history, its clientele and what they believe is the secret to their success. We’ll also learn how to make one of Tjoget’s signature drinks, the Polo Lounge Martini.

“We’re gonna make a drink like a pasta dish,” explains Andreas Bergman, Founder Partner, Tjoget, about the inspiration for the drink. The Polo Lounge Martini is a variation of a classic stirred Martini, made with fat-washed Absolut vodka using brown butter and sage, showcasing their adjoining restaurant’s love for incredible Mediterranean cuisine.
