5 Vodka Cocktails for St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day is here– think shamrocks, leprechauns, and loads of Irish cheer! But who says you have to drink stout when there are St. Paddy’s Day cocktails on the menu?
Below, we’ve put together a list of five of our favorite drinks to sip on St. Patrick’s Day. So, what do they all have in common? They’re all delicious vodka cocktails, and they’re all vibrantly green! Sláinte!
1. Matcha Cocktail
The Matcha Cocktail is a cocktail so green, zesty, fruity and delicious, it’ll win your guests over – no blarney required!
With Absolut Lime, apple juice, lime juice, simple syrup, a touch of matcha, and a mint sprig, this cocktail is an experience like no other.
Here’s how to make a Matcha Cocktail:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
- Use a jigger to measure and pour 45 ml Absolut Lime into the shaker.
- Measure and pour 45 ml fresh apple juice.
- Use a citrus press to juice 15 ml fresh lime juice, then pour it into the shaker.
- Measure and add simple syrup.
- Add half a teaspoon of matcha.
- Shake vigorously until the outside of your shaker is frosty.
- Strain into a cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a mint sprig.
Trust us, onlookers without a glass will be green with envy.
2. Appletini
Although the Appletini is synonymous with 90s cocktail culture, its distinct green color and taste of tart Granny Smith apples make it an excellent choice to serve for any slightly upscale St Paddy’s gathering.
A classic Appletini is made Absolut Vodka, fresh apple juice, apple liqueur, fresh lemon juice and simple syrup. A little sweet, a little tart, the Appletini works like a charm.

3. Absolut Lime Mojito
Cuba meets Ireland! Just as the name suggests, the Absolut Lime Mojito is a lime-flavored vodka twist on the rum classic.
An easy-to-make built cocktail, the Absolut Lime Mojito mixes Absolut Lime, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup is topped with soda water and garnished with a lime wedge and a mint sprig.

4. Absolut Basil Smash
If you’re looking for a guaranteed smash for your celebrations, look no further than the aptly named Absolut Basil Smash aka Vodka Basil Smash.
This cocktail is all about the fresh, herbal flavors and citrusy zing. Muddled basil leaves combine with the zest of fresh lemon juice and the smoothness of Absolut Vodka.
“It’s a super nice vodka sour. The lemon and the sugar perfectly balance, as always and then you just get that hit of fresh basil, super fresh on the nose, sweet and balanced beautifully crafted,” shares Ricardo ‘Rico’ Dynan, Absolut Global Brand Ambassador.

5. Absolut Lime Mule
Everyone loves a classic Moscow Mule so in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, we’ve given it a festive twist of green.
The Absolut Lime Mule follows the same recipe as a classic Mule but swaps Absolut Vodka for Absolut Lime. You’ve got the fieriness of the ginger beer, the acidity and fresh zest of lime juice, which is then amplified by our lime-flavored vodka. Garnish with a couple of lime wedges and you’ve got one seriously green drink!
