The Pornstar Martini is a shaken vodka cocktail made with vanilla-flavored vodka, passion fruit purée, vanilla syrup and fresh pineapple.

It’s fine-strained into a chilled martini glass, garnished with half a passion fruit and served with a shot of Champagne on the side. Prosecco is a popular and common alternative to champagne.

What’s in a Pornstar Martini?

The Pornstar Martini is a shaken vodka cocktail made with vanilla-flavored vodka, passion fruit purée, vanilla syrup and fresh pineapple, fine-strained into a chilled martini glass, garnished with half a passion fruit and served with a shot of Champagne on the side.

• 25 ml Passion Fruit Purée
• 15 ml Vanilla Syrup
• 4-6 Fresh Pineapple Chunks
• Half a Passion Fruit

Yes, you can make a Pornstar Martini at home with a shaker, a fine strainer and a handful of ingredients. In practice? It depends. We put three amateurs to the test to see how it goes.

How to Make a Pornstar Martini Properly

Get these three details right and you’ll avoid the most common mistakes — the pineapple, the purée and the strain.

• Dice your pineapple small. Cutting it into fine pieces makes it much easier to muddle and release the juice.
• Make your own passion fruit purée. Cut a passion fruit in half, scoop out the pulp, blend it to release the juice, then strain out the seeds with a sieve or other fine mesh strainer.
• Double strain after shaking. Fine strain the cocktail once it’s been shaken with ice to keep pulp and ice shards out of the glass.
