National Mojito Day: Celebrate with 5 Vodka Mojitos
The Mojito is one of the most popular cocktails in the world and every year on July 11, people in the U.S. and beyond toast to National Mojito Day. And we’re only too happy to raise a glass to that.
The classic Cuban punch mixes light rum, lime juice, mint leaves, and soda water and its one of the tastiest drinks ever made. This year, to celebrate National Mojito Day, we’re shaking things up with five amazing vodka mojitos. Yep, we’re swapping out light rum for flavored vodka.
If you’re fan of the Mojito, you’re about to find your new go-to drink. The only question is, which one will it be?
1. Absolut Lime Mojito
If you love the taste of the lime juice in your Mojito, then this is your drink. It’s lime on lime.
The Absolut Lime Mojito follows the same recipe as a classic Mojito but uses Absolut Lime instead of light rum. And it’s subLIME! Check out the recipe for an Absolut Lime Mojito.
Watch Rico show you how to make a Vodka Mojito with Absolut Lime. Use the recipe as the base to make a Vodka Mojito with any of our flavored vodkas!
2. Absolut Vodka Mojito
Unlike the other drinks on this list, this Mojito variation uses original Absolut Vodka instead one of our flavored vodkas. Clean, smooth and remarkably versatile, Absolut Vodka has a way of making everything around it taste better. The mint is fresher, the citrus is sharper and the whole drink just clicks.
Here’s how to make a Vodka Mojito:
- Add 6-8 fresh mint leaves into the bottom of a highball glass.
- Add 4 quarters of lime.
- Using a muddler, press firmly down on the lime quarters to extract the juice.
- Fill the glass with crushed ice.
- Add 25 ml fresh lime juice.
- Add 20 ml simple syrup.
- Add 45 ml Absolut Vodka.
- Stir gently to combine, then top with soda water.
- Garnish with a sprig of mint.
3. Cosmojito
What would happen if you mixed a classic Mojito with a Cosmopolitan? A Cosmojito would happen.
The Cosmojito mixes Absolut Citron, sweetened cranberry juice, triple sec, lime juice and mint leaves. It’s the best of both worlds – two iconic drinks in one glass.
Here’s how to make it:
- Add approximately 10 fresh mint leaves into the bottom of a highball glass.
- Add 8-10ml simple syrup.
- Using a muddler, press down gently on the mint leaves and give them a light twist – just enough to bruise them. As soon as you can smell the mint, stop muddling.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Add 30ml Absolut Citron, followed by 30ml cranberry juice and 15ml triple sec.
- Add 15ml fresh lime juice.
- Top with soda water and stir gently to combine.
- Garnish with a sprig of mint.
4. Absolut Mango Mojito
Looking for a Mojito with even more tropical vibes? How about a Mojito with mango-flavored vodka then?
Like the lime vodka Mojito above, this drink follows the same recipe as a traditional Mojito but uses Absolut Mango instead of light rum. It’s then garnished with a juicy mango slice.
Lime, mint, and mango? You already know how delicious it is!

5. Absolut Citron Mojito
If you prefer your Mojito on the more citrusy side, use Absolut Citron as your base. This citrus-forward Mojito variation combines lemon-flavored vodka together with lime juice, mint leaves, and soda water. And it’s incredible.
With Absolut Citron and lime juice both in the mix, the end result is a citrusy Mojito that’s fresh, zesty, and utterly delicious.
Watch the video above for the Absolut Lime Mojito but then simply use Absolut Citron and you’ve got yourself a whole new drink!
