It’s studio challenge time! And this week, we’re asking the question, “Can anybody make a Passion Star Martini?”. So, what do you think? Is it possible? 

In our previous studio challenge, we asked seven guests to make a Raspberry Collins. It turns out that despite it being an easy cocktail to make, it proved to have its challenges!

But now we’re here to see if anybody can make what is the most popular cocktail in the U.K. right now! 

What’s in a Passion Star Martini?

Also known as the Pornstar Martini, the Passion Star Martini is a modern classic cocktail made with Absolut Vanilia (our vanilla-flavored vodka), passion fruit purée, vanilla syrup and muddled pineapple. Passion fruit and vanilla? Come on – you know it’s gonna be incredible!

After shaking until chilled, the cocktail is double strained into a chilled martini glass then garnished with half a passionfruit. But that’s not all – the Passion Star Martini is then traditionally accompanied by a shot of Champagne on the side, which is sipped in between sips of the cocktail. Yes, it’s one of the best drink experiences around. 

How do you make a Passion Star Martini? 

How WE would make the Passion Star Martini is one thing but how our guests make it turns out to be another thing!

We gave our four guests all the ingredients to make the drink as well the bartending tools they’ll need, including a cocktail shaker and a muddler. But we left out one detail – instructions on how to make the Passion Star Martini, like how to shake a cocktail shaker.

Once armed with the ingredients and bartending tools, our four participants were set loose to muddle, shake, and even pop a champagne bottle. And, well, the results were interesting!

So, can anybody make a Passion Star Martini?  You’ll just have to watch to find out!
