5 Cocktails to Make for International Coffee Liqueur Day
Happy International Coffee Liqueur Day! On February 27, we celebrate the rich, velvety goodness of coffee liqueur – a key ingredient in some of the world’s most loved and decadent after-dinner and dessert cocktails.
Coffee and vodka go hand-in-hand. Coffee liqueur adds depth and a rich, velvety sweetness, while vodka serves as the perfect base with its smooth, clean finish.
To help you celebrate International Coffee Liqueur Day, you’ll find five of our favorite vodka and coffee liqueur cocktails. Let’s go!
Espresso Martini
The Espresso Martini needs no introduction. Among cocktails made with coffee liqueur and vodka, perhaps none is more famous or beloved than the Espresso Martini. This cocktail is so loved that it has its own day of celebration – Espresso Martini Day!
Even though the recipe for an Espresso Martini is a classic, there are plenty of ways to add your own twist to the Espresso Martini. For example, swap Absolut Vodka for Absolut Vanilia to give your drink a delicious hint of vanilla. If you’re feeling adventurous, add some peppery spice to your Espresso Martini by using Absolut Peppar
Burnt Toasted Almond
The Burnt Toasted Almond might just be the cocktail revelation you’ve been waiting for. A luxurious fusion of coffee, marzipan, and creamy flavors, the Burnt Toasted Almond combines vodka, cream and no less than three types of liqueurs – coffee liqueur, cream liqueur almond liqueur (aka Amaretto) – for a drink that’s sure to be the talk of any dinner party.

- Measure and add 30 ml cream.
- Add 10 ml cream liqueur, followed by 10 ml coffee liqueur.

White Russian
The White Russian has long been a favorite and even earned a spot among the 10 most popular cocktails a couple of years ago.
This delicious, three-ingredient dessert cocktail mixes Absolut Vodka, coffee liqueur and shaken heavy cream. Best of all, it’s a built drink, so it’s simple to make. However, you’ll need something to shake up the heavy cream. A mason jar, for example, works perfect.
Simple to make and delicious – what could be better?
