Absolut Peppar
PEPPER FLAVORED VODKA
Absolut Peppar was created for the Bloody Mary. In 1986, bartenders were grinding black pepper by hand for their Bloody Marys, so Absolut bottled the flavor instead.
Launched seven years after Absolut Vodka, Absolut Peppar was the first Absolut flavored vodka. It’s made with natural flavor in Åhus, Sweden, and tastes of freshly cracked black pepper, warm and aromatic.
At the time, Bloody Mary bars were spreading across Boston, New York and beyond. Absolut Peppar took the grinding out of the job and has been behind the bar ever since. The recipe has since been updated to bring the freshly cracked pepper further forward.
Start with the Absolut Peppar Bloody Mary. For a simpler serve, mix Absolut Peppar with tomato juice and a splash of soda. For something different, try the Absolut Peppar Pineapple Martini, which pairs black pepper with pineapple.
