ABSOLUT and fashion is not a new thing. In fact, we have worked with designers like Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Hussein Chalayan and Stella McCartney, and we can boast about our past collaborations with photographers like Herb Ritts, Ellen Von Unwerth and Helmut Newton.

This campaign, ABSOLUT MODE EDITION, is glimpsing back in time on the works from photographic icons, but also makes it contemporary by working with the icons of the future.

Did the lack of eye contact make the process more difficult? – No, says Sharif Hamza, Shannan and I know each other personally and there is a level of trust and understanding that allowed for everything to just flow and be instinctive.

What was the inspiration behind the shoot? – I wanted to create an interpretation of a model’s mind; a woman that is constantly looking at herself and constantly being looked at, a girl who is always ready for the camera.

What feelings do you want to convey in the images? – A sense of confidence, of power, of fashion.

Do you have a favorite among the previous ABSOLUT fashion collaborations? – Yes, Herb Ritts – Pure Iconography.
