Psychedelic Transformations at the Absolut Symposium

We transformed an entire hotel into a totally unique space with an electric-feel for four days of fabulous hedonism.

This year, we joined legendary Italian music festival, Club to Club – one of the greatest festivals in Europe, you know – and transformed the AC Hotel Torino into the music festival’s hub of unexpected fun and non-stop entertainment. We called it: Absolut Symposium.

The Absolut Symposium took over and transformed the entire hotel over four days. And as always when we throw a soiree, music was key in the non-stop calendar of live gigs, DJ sets by big names like techno pioneer, Jeff Mills and Nicolas Jaar, talks and all the other performances. But that’s just the tip of the Symposium iceberg.

At one point in the night, a lobby boy guided the guests upstairs to check out three exclusive suites: the Electrik Cocktail Room, a blue-lit, psychedelic, tiny bar where one could lay on the bed while tasting bespoke cocktails served by a top mixologist; the Jam Room, an original selection of the latest electronic music instruments that gave you the chance to prove your music skills while jamming away with famous artists staying at the hotel; and the Fashion Room, the suite where trend-lovers could try on and buy cutting-edge clothes by upcoming fashion designers.

Downstairs, the hotel had many an attraction on offer. First up, the lobby was filled with the sound from NTS Radio’s live broadcast, a music newsstand and bookshop, a vinyl record shop, a blue piano and a photo booth.

The beautiful courtyard of the hotel —a renovated industrial building— welcomed guests into carnival-inspired surroundings with a merry-go-round carousel and an airstream serving traditional Swedish food.

Then the first night of the event started with the Electrik Opening Party – the night filled with live electronic music had incredible people gather from all over the world ready to party and experience the unexpected twists and turns throughout the event. One special VIP guest that grabbed a lot of attention was the hi-tech cocktail robot, our Makr Shakr. This futuristic bartender gets your cocktail ready in speedy time.

Come 4am – there was a culinary breakfast after party, the Absolut Matinée. Once the music ends – our party goers could relax on massive pillows while watching dreamlike sequences of movies, listening to psychedelic DJ sets and by sunrise join in some much needed yoga sessions.

And relax.
