Filled with Pride
The festivities are upon us once again, so prepare to hit the streets and celebrate all things LGBT
Whether you’re a Pride veteran or a newcomer to the party, the time has come to grab a glittering slice of this year’s action. To get you in the mood, here are just a few of the world’s most colourful parades, along with the top Instagrammers who are always in the thick of it…
NYC Pride (23rd - 28th June)
Since it first launched in 1970, Pride Parade has grown into one helluva popular party (more than a million people rocked up in 2014). Organised by Heritage of Pride, the main events include The March, PrideFest, the Dance on the Pier and The Rally, which commemorates the Stonewall riots – Google it, it’s important.

Gay Pride Barcelona (26th - 28th June)
The hottest Pride Festival in the Mediterranean, Gay Pride Barcelona is set to take over this city’s streets, so head downtown for an outrageous flurry of people, performers and floats. Not for the faint-hearted (but which Pride experience ever is?) the main party will last until the wee hours.

Madrid Pride (1st - 5th July)
Madrid’s Pride festival is not to be missed. A melting pot of high spirits and free culture, MADO’s cultural festival combines theatre, film, literature, fine arts and comedy. Basically, it’s sexed up sophistication. The main party area, Chueca, is a real highlight. Whips and water fights included.
