Our new fashion collaboration Absolut clothsurgeon, brings together Absolut’s pioneering spirit and clothsurgeon’s values of innovation, quality and equality to create a limited-edition t-shirt.
Constructed from organic, sustainable fabrics sourced from across the globe, the collaboration is a wearable expression of the beauty that comes from embracing differences.
Clothsurgeon was founded in 2021 by Rav Matharu, Creative Director and visionary behind the brand. Primarily a luxury bespoke menswear label, it also offers seasonal collections and a collaboration and a consultancy programme. The unique bespoke service allows the customer to create whatever they wish, from whatever fabrics they desire, all starting from an initial drawing.
Based in London, the brand explores a directional aesthetic, melding sportswear with Saville Row style tailoring, perfectly channeling a clean interpretation of modern streetwear.
The Design
Taking the iconic white t-shirt as inspiration, a piece of clothing historically embraced as a vehicle for activism and change, Absolut clothsurgeon reinterprets the garment with Rav Matharu’s signature attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Each piece is carefully constructed from organic, sustainably sourced fabrics from places across the world most meaningful to Rav. The materials are woven together seamlessly to create a modern silhouette. In its simplicity, the t-shirt is created by literally weaving cultures together, showing the beauty that comes from embracing differences.
Closer Look
Rav chose fabrics from places that mean something to him personally and emotionally.
“I am UK born and bred, but India is very close to my heart. Recycled slub cotton from India really embodies the chaotic beauty and character of the country, in particular Mumbai, where my grandparents live. A technical jersey from Japan, as I have always looked to the Japanese for innovation and pushing style boundaries.
From Italy, we selected a smooth organic mercerised cotton to highlight the quality of construction and smoothness of Italian tailoring. A heavyweight cotton blend from the US, adds weight and body to the tee, being a powerful, impactful country, I wanted to incorporate a heavier cloth to represent this. Finally, the rib is from Leicester, England, a family-owned company I have been working with for over 10 years who share the same values represented in the Absolut collaboration”

Ingredients
Ice Cubes
1⅓ Parts Absolut Vodka
⅔ Part Kahlúa
⅔ Part Espresso
3 Whole Coffee Beans
How to mix
Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with coffee beans.
Story about Espresso Martini
The famous Espresso Martini is a top drink and a classic Kahlua cocktail. Invented after a peculiar request from a British top model in 1983.
Legend says that the super model walked up to the bartender and said the famous words: “Can you please make something that will wake me up and then f**ck me up?”
