ABSOLUT MANDRIN was launched in 1999, 20 years after ABSOLUT VODKA. It’s the fourth flavored ABSOLUT in the row after PEPPER, CITRON and KURANT. And since mandarin and orange are among the most popular flavors in the world, ABSOLUT MANDRIN was received with the same enthusiasm as the rest of the family members.
ABSOLUT MANDRIN is made exclusively from natural ingredients, and unlike most other flavored vodkas, it doesn’t contain any added sugar. It’s complex, smooth and mellow with a fruity mandarin and orange character mixed with a note of orange peel.
In 1879, Lars Olsson Smith introduced the continuous distillation with which he made Absolut Rent Bränvin (Absolute Pure Vodka). Instead of the usual three or four times, the vodka was distilled an infinite number of times. ABSOLUT MANDRIN is made the same way, the only difference is the taste of orange, mandarin and citrus. And, like the rest of the family, it’s produced in Åhus, L.O. Smith’s birth town. Since nothing of that will change, neither will the true taste of ABSOLUT MANDRIN.
The main ingredients in ABSOLUT MANDRIN are ABSOLUT VODKA and orange, mandarin and citrus flavor. ABSOLUT VODKA is made from water and winter wheat. The water comes from a deep well in Åhus where it’s protected from impurities. The winter wheat is also grown in Åhus and differs from other crops: it’s sown in fall, and harvested the next one. Days in between it grows under the Swedish snow developing its hard grain. Also, the use of fertilizers is minimized. Though mandarin and orange is the main flavors, other citrus fruits are added to give ABSOLUT MANDRIN its perfect character.

1 part ABSOLUT Mandrin
2 Slices of Orange
3 Mandarin Wedges
2 Bar Spoons Granulated Sugar
Muddle the mandarin and orange slices with the granulated sugar in the bottom of a rocks glass. Add the ABSOLUT MANDRIN and crushed ice. Stir and serve.
Fill a highball glass to the rim with ice cubes. Pour ABSOLUT MANDRIN and Coke over the ice. Garnish with a mandarin wedge.
2 parts ABSOLUT Mandrin
1 parts Lemon Juice
1 part Simple Syrup
1 Freshly Squeezed Mandarin
Pour first four ingredients into a highball glass. Add crushed ice and stir. Fill up with Champagne.

1 part Triple Sec
1 part Lemon Juice
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a well-chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a marachino berry.
