ABSOLUT 100 is made exclusively from natural ingredients, and unlike other vodkas, it doesn’t contain any added sugar. It’s distinct with spicy notes, yet luxuriously smooth, with a fresh and velvety texture.
In 1879, Lars Olsson Smith introduced the continuous distillation with which he made Absolut Rent Bränvin (Absolute Pure Vodka). Instead of the usual three or four times, the vodka was distilled an infinite number of times. 100 years later, it was reintroduced as ABSOLUT. Just as the original ABSOLUT VODKA, ABSOLUT 100 is produced in Åhus, L.O. Smith’s birth town. Also the place where the wheat used for making the vodka is grown. And since the way ABSOLUT 100 is made won’t change, neither will the true taste of vodka.
The main ingredients in ABSOLUT 100 are water and winter wheat. The water comes from a deep well in Åhus where it’s protected from impurities. Winter wheat differs from other crops: it’s sown one fall, and harvested the next one. Days in between it grows under the Swedish snow developing its hard grain. Also, the use of fertilizers is minimized
There are many ways to enjoy ABSOLUT 100: Straight up with ice, or in any of the combinations below.
5 parts ABSOLUT 100
1 part Galliano
Fill a highball glass to the rim with ice cubes. Pour ABSOLUT 100 and orange juice over the ice, float the Galliano on top, garnish with a slice of orange.
2 parts ABSOLUT 100
1 part Kahlúa
Fill a rocks glass to the rim with ice cubes. Pour ABSOLUT 100 and Kahlúa over the ice. Garnish with a maraschino berry.
1 part ABSOLUT 100
1 part Grapefruit Juice
2 parts Cranberry Juice
Fill a highball glass to the rim with ice cubes. Pour ABSOLUT 100, grapefruit juice and cranberry juice over the ice. Garnish with lime.
As much Absolut 100 as you want on a nice chunk of dry and fresh ice.
2 dashes Dry Vermouth
White Pearl Onion
Stir with ice and strain to a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a pearl onion.
1 part ABSOLUT 100
1 part Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne
Pour equal parts of Absolut 100 and Mumm Cordon Rouge Champagne in Champagne glass.
