The Espresso Martini
One of London's greatest cocktail creation stories takes place in 1984, at Fred's Place. The bartender was Dick Bradsell, the godfather of London's cocktail renaissance. The classic drink is rumored to have come about as per the request of a now famous model who wanted a drink that'll keep her awake. The result? Fresh espresso and vodka, of course. Well, that's the rumous anyway.
After that, Dick brought the Espresso Martini to the famous Damien Hirst establishment, Pharmacy Bar, servied in a medicinal cup. where it was dubbed the Pharamaceutical Stimulant. Mm, yes, sign up up for that prescription.
