It’s that time of year when the desert outside of Palm Springs comes alive for one almighty party once again. The line-up looks promising (we’re talking Alesso, Drake and Annie Mac), the location is sunny and idyllic, and Absolut have one helluva pop up bar that’s not to be missed.

Tribeca Film Festival (NYC)

Head to downtown New York and join a posse of filmmakers, artists and storytellers at the annual Tribeca Film Festival. The line-up boasts feature films from 31 countries, 64 of which are world premieres. The Adderall Diaries, starring James Franco, Ed Harris and Cynthia Nixon as well as Franny, with Richard Gere and Dakota Fanning already have people talking. A movie buff’s dream.

The Other Art Fair (London)

This four day event allows aspiring and emerging artists an opportunity to showcase their works to art lovers, collectors, and dealers alike. Can’t make it down? You need not miss out on the next big thing as their online shop allows you to browse and buy from this unique collection of artists. Who knows, you may stumble upon Damien Hirst 2.0.

The Converse x Dazed Emerging Artists Award 2015 (London)

Enjoy being ahead of the curve? Well, the annual Emerging Artist Awards is the place to start. Celebrating new talent in the British art world, Converse and Dazed combine forces to track down the next big thing. This year, for the first time, The Royal Academy of Arts will play host to the finalists dazzling submissions. So, you can see it first, of course.

Björk (NYC)

Bjork has always been one to ruffle feathers (really quite literally if you cast your mind back to the swan dress that adorned her for the Academy Awards in 2001), so this incredible retrospective of the multitalented composer, musician, and singer is sure to be anything bar run-of-the-mill.

The where and when: Museum of Modern Art, New York. March 8th – June 7th, 2015.

AfrikaBurn (South Africa)

For those of you who missed out on the Burning Man before it became more mainstream than men with beards, this will lift your ‘I wish I did it first’ spirits as the concept moves to South Africa. Taking place around 250 miles outside Cape Town, the hedonistic blueprint remains entirely in tact as art, costumes, music, performance, and a full-on festival vibe come together under the sunny South African skies.

Gregory Porter (Istanbul)

Let’s get soulful this Spring as jazz icon, Gregory Porter starts his European leg of his tour. Cited as ‘mightily good’ by The New York Times, this powerful baritone is renowned for his unconventional take on jazz and soul by infusing lashings of gospel, blues and R&B. If it’s something a little unique you’re after, this should do it.

Salone del Mobile (Milano)

Salone del Mobile is the mecca of the design world, attracting more than 300,000 visitors from around the globe. The fair will exhibit top designs in lighting, furniture and workspace devoted to innovation and creativity. Don’t miss “The Walk”, an installation by prominent Italian architect Michele De Lucchi.
