If you haven't already, it's time to master the Absolut Classic; The Cosmopolitan.

Long before Carrie Bradshaw and her Sex and the City pals made the stylish Sour drink their signature go-to, the pink concoction is credited to master bartender Toby Cecchiniis (he's also published a book named after the cocktail).  Cechini's original recipes called specifically for use of Absolut Citron as the base liquor. 

Though the origins of the drink gets passed around to various bartenders in New York, San Francisco, Massachusetts. Basically, the beginnings are a little hazi. It was the 80s after all.

The Twists

Blood Orange Cosmo


Ingredients
6 Parts Orange Flavored Vodka
6 Parts Cranberry Juice
2 Parts Triple Sec
1 Part Blood Orange Juice
1 Part Lime Juice

Method: Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice cubes and shake until cold. 

Absolut Madrin White Cosmopolitan

Ingredients

2 Parts Absolut Mandrin
1 1/2 Parts White Cranberry Juice
1/4 Part lime juice
1/4 Part orange liqueur
1 Peel Orange

Method: Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled glass. 

Absolut Hibiskus Cosmo

Ingredients
2 Parts Absolut Hibiskus
3/4 Part cranberry juice
1/2 Part Triple Sec
1/4 Part lime juice
1 Peel Orange

Method: Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with orange.
