Condé Nast Traveler recognizes Swedish bar Kåken as a “2014 Gold Standard Bar”.

Every year Condé Nast Traveller names the top 100 best bars in the world. This year Swedish bar Kåken made it to the list, with its impeccable atmosphere and spear point bartenders.

“In Stockholm’s small but fiercely competitive cocktail scene, Kåken is several shakes of a Boston glass ahead of its rivals. Its success is due to equal parts atmosphere and excellence. Hidden behind a door and down a corridor at the back of Niklas restaurant, it has wood-paneled walls, flattering lighting and clubby leather banquettes, as well as bartenders who know how to mix everything from classics to cutting-edge cocktails but who haven’t forgotten the art of holding a conversation. All this plus knock-out snacks, such as baked salsify with Grana Padano. Full credit goes to manager Mathin Lundgren who has encyclopaedic cocktail knowledge and vintage charm. And he mixes a great Fang’s Fizz: his own concoction of gin, lemon, grenadine cream and soda water served in a mini milk bottle with a paper straw so you can fool yourself into thinking it’s a healthy choice.”

Cosmopolitan
  • 40 ml Absolut Citron
  • 25 ml Cointreau
  • 20 ml fresh lime juice
  • 25 ml cranberry juice
How to mix

Shake it ice cold and serve it up in a cocktail glass. Garnish with a flaming orange zest as if you where at the Rainbow Room in NYC back in the early 1990s sipping it with Madonna.

Absolut Bellini
  • 10 ml Absolut Citron
  • 40 ml Peach juice
  • 100 ml Mumm Champagne
How to mix

Build the bellini in a champagne flute and finish it off with at lemon zest. Bubbly, fresh and stylish. Undoubtedly the N° 1 fashion cocktail.

Absolut Agave Gimlet
  • 50 ml Absolut
  • 30 ml fresh lime juice
  • 20 agave syrup
How to mix

Shake it ice cold and serve it on the rock. Garnish with a lime zest. An avant garde fresh cocktail served in a robust way.
