The future of nightlife is here: Electrik London

We explore the space between virtual and physical reality to transform a club night in London to far, far, beyond the ordinary. It was bonkers.

Electrik London sparks into action as a hyper sensory, mixed reality club night in London's Bankside Vaults where the boundary between physicial and virtual space was put to the test. The result? One hell of a futuristic party.

Inspired by our limited edition bottles, Absolut Electrik, and with the help of some seriously game-changing technology, the best DJs in electronic music and some experimental drink concoctions, our aim was to knock our club goers trendy socks off.

Over 1,000 people descended on The Big Smoke's Bankside Vaults which was our creative canvas for this futuristic escape. It was game on for one night only.

Marshmallow Laser Feast, known for their genius immersive experiences at the intersection of arts and cutting edge technology teamed up with electronic music collective, R&S Records for the impressive task of visualising the shape of music.

How did they do that? By wrapping motion-reactive LED projections onto the walls. They responsded to the sound and mood of the crowd over the night. On top of that, virtual reality headsets also transported guests into a futuristic journey into abstract landscapes with visuals created using pixelated lights. Yep, far, far beyond the ordinary.

The beats behind the night was in the form of tailored DJ sets by Leon Vynehall, Lone, Space Dimension Controller and Moire.

And of course, to fuel the night, Absolut's ambassador and mixologist Rico Dynan created a series of experimental drinks that were an introduction to each experience. These were the Coffee Tonik, Absolut Mule and the Electrolyte – created using Absolut, coconut water, lime juice, pineapple syrup, blue curacao. And the taste? Electrik.
